IngSoft invests in software quality and service

Together for a sustainable future

IngSoft is significantly expanding its position as one of the market leaders in the field of energy & climate management software in 2024 with revenue growth of 27 per cent compared to the previous year. The company is preparing for the future with strategic investments in IT security and customer service.

Climate protection remains an important national objective - even the new German government is not questioning this. Energy and climate management continue to be a key lever for achieving Germany's goal of climate neutrality by 2045. With the IngSoft InterWatt software, IngSoft offers companies, municipalities and organisations of various sizes an important tool for achieving their sustainability goals. With success: after a high-growth year in 2024, IngSoft is continuing this positive trend in the first quarter of 2025.

Strong partner network

The partner network is also developing well: the revenue that IngSoft generates through its partners increased by 29 per cent last year compared to 2023. Due to the close integration of energy management software and the accompanying consulting services, growth via qualified partners is an important pillar of IngSoft's corporate strategy.

Investments in future-proof software

But IngSoft is not resting on its laurels. "We are arming ourselves for the future with major, strategic investments in our product and our service," says Managing Director Karsten Reese.

Powerful, secure IT infrastructure

Today, future-proof energy management software must do more than just record energy consumption. For companies that want to be future-proof, the compliance of software products is no longer an optional extra: it is an indispensable basic requirement - just like a powerful IT infrastructure.

The introduction of energy management software is increasingly becoming a complex IT project. With directives such as the so-called "Network and Information Systems Directive 2" (NIS2 for short), the EU is taking a closer look at the security of networks and information systems. For software providers, this results in significantly higher requirements - in an already challenging balancing act between product development and technical debt.

For this reason, IngSoft is making targeted investments in IT security and hardware in order to meet the new requirements and continue to offer its customers high-performance, security-compliant hosting.

Significant reinforcement in customer service

Since the beginning of 2025, the company has been pleased to have significantly increased its staff: among other things, four new employees are now strengthening the Customer Service team with immediate effect. "Our priority is to ensure that the good support we provide to our customers keeps pace with our growth. The most important investment for IngSoft is and remains the investment in qualified personnel, which is also reflected in the rising personnel costs," explains Managing Director Karsten Reese.

IngSoft also invests in further training and the continuous improvement of its own processes. The aim is to ensure close co-operation between software developers, IT and energy specialists in projects for customers. Interdisciplinary teams have fewer internal interfaces. The regular involvement of customers helps to achieve customised solutions with fewer detours. The bottom line is that this increases both the speed of implementation and the quality of the results.
